As photogenic as Alexei is, he is even more striking in person, especially close-up. Someone asked me one time how handsome I thought Alexei was, and I replied without having to think about it, that he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen.
There is one photograph online taken a while ago, about which some posters elsewhere marvelled, asking if his eyes were really that blue. If I remember correctly, the photographer posted that the photo was unretouched.
Some people have eyes that seem to change color, according to the lighting and what they are wearing at the time, eyes that are apparently a blue-green-greyish color. I think Alexei's eyes may be like that, judging from the many photographs of him that have appeared online. In person, his eyes have looked blue, with an extraordinary quality. I am not sure what to call this quality; perhaps it is a look of intense concentration or awareness. At any rate, his eyes are very beautiful. Something inside him seems to glow from them.
