For anyone who does not know, his dog was named "Lawrie", after his "Lawrence of Arabia" program. I think that he loved Lawrie a lot; it must have hurt Alexei a lot to lose him. I suspect that it was too hard for him to talk about in interviews when it happened. On a more cheerful note, Alexei mentions in that long interview that he would like to have two children some day, a boy and a girl. I'll be unable to post for about a week. Be good!
