I cannot wait to see Patrick Chan skate again--but I do not think this will be shown at all in the U.S.  I am also excited that Fedor Andreev (in my mind, the spelling is different, but this is how it is spelled in Canada and internationally) is competing again!  I read an article tonight explaining that he had to take time off because of a back injury, so he has been doing car racing, which he loves, and modelling.  He said he is not feeling pressure, and I hope that does not change; I hope that he can just relax and skate his best.  Welcome back, Fedor!

Here is the URL for that article, which I found at Goldenskate (thank you, Goldenskate!):

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/indepth/feature-fedor-andreev.html

I had better post this before my pinky betrays me and I lose my text lol.

Thank you so much Lina!!! You and I must be telepathic - when I saw Fedor Andreev on the list I was so surprised and when I scrolled to the bottom of your message I see that you were surprised by this too!  I was wondering why I hadn't seen him compete in such a long time...This is going to be an interesting event!

Jessica Dube is one of the few figure skaters who competes both as a single and also as as part of the pairs team with Davison.  It's rare to see this Adelina - but you are alert!

Lina - you are faster than the proverbial speeding bullet!!  I just finished watching the men's competition and you've posted the results!  Jeff Buttle recycled an older SP, Patrick Chan missed his triple axle and CBC in its 1 hour wisdom did not show Fedor Andreev's SP.

On to the pairs event!  So much skating to watch tonight after no television coverage for such a long time - I feel like someone who has been wandering in the desert, about to die of thirst when all of sudden a Culligan water truck appears out of nowhere!

LOL Here I come with another bullet lololol that is, bulletin ;)

I tried a different method for this one--here's hoping it works.

Ice Dancing CD and OD are completed now.  I cannot watch a thing, but I can hover like a maniac over the official website lol.

http://www.skatecanada.ca/en/events_results/events/cdns08/results/results.cfm?strcat=Senior&strdisp=Dance&strlang=E

It works, but I cannot get the cursor to go to the bottom, so I'll sign here lol.  Here's hoping the chart transfers properly to the board.

It is no surprise to me that Virtue and Moir are leading; they're good!

Here are the results from the official website, and I am so happy for Patrick Chan I could bust!

Well I'll be!  Patrick Chan beat Jeff Buttle!  I've been at the rink all day and just arrived home - thanks Lina for the updates!  Mira Leung is a close second to Joanie Rochette - 5 hours of live skating on Country Canada channel tonight.  Considering it is going to be  a severely cold evening with temperatures dipping to -33 Celsius (I think that is approximately -24 F) I'm defintely curling up on the sofa tonight and watching the Canadian Nationals  Apparently central Canada is "sharing" a cold front with Siberia over the arctic - keep warm Katya my friend!
