In the other forum we used to have a part dedicated to fotball...but ...i think we can discuss about fotball here:P Or about ski-jumping

Today was the draw for EC 2008(fotball,for the ones who don't know :P

And our national team is in the most difficult group, with Netherland,Italy and France. For the ones who don't know my country is Romania :)

Kaka won today Ballon d'Or awrad! I am very happy for him.

And because i mentioned about ski-jumping i can say that it was the first round  of the World Cup. this round(Kuusamo-Finland) was wonn by Norway(at teams) and Thomas Morgenstern (individual). It was a very good competion.

Maria Sharpova won the Australian Open title with no losses throughout the tournament.  It's nice to see her raising the cup!  Last year she was dealing with a shoulder injury that prevented her from attaining her full potential - nice turnaround this year!

That was a great tennis competition wasn't it?  It's one of my favorite events of the year besides the US Open and of course Wimbledon.  Congratulations to the winners!!

I'd have to go:

1. Wimbledon: the first, the best
2. French (Roland Garros): Raffa's bulging muscles suit the red clay!
3. US Open: the most gladiatorial - I think its the height of the stadium court and the noise
4. Australian: the baking sun of Melbourne at a time when its wet and dark in UK always makes me a little jealous!

I have to admit, tennis is my first love, sports-wise

Me too Whisper.  Either way, it could a an all English final as the other semi is Manchester United vs Barcelona.

The final will be in Moscow regardless of who is playing.

Hello!
Chelsea beat Liverpool :( so they are in the final and they will play against Manchester United...if the national team it isn't qualified at Euro's  England have two teams on the UCL final...but how many english players they have in these teams..maybe that's why they aren't at EC.
Hope Manchester will win the title :)

Meanwhile Real Madrid won their 31st title in Primera Division and they beat last night Barcelona

Steaua Bucharest lost the title with a one points difference from CFR Cluj - i don't know why i wrote this because you don't know the teams-speacially CFR :P  And on 7 may 1986 Steaua won the Champions Cup beating Brcelona after penaltys. And yesterday on 7 may 2008 we lost the national title...so sadly :(

Three-time defending champ Rafael Nadal beaten in Rome Masters 2nd round :(
